PCM was the cost consultant on a team of architects and engineers who were tasked with conducting a condition assessment to the VA’s facilities and structures on its seven Florida campuses and its San Juan, Puerto Rico location, as well as, off-site facilities. As part of the assessing team, the estimators traveled to all sites, assisting the team in the collection of visual information, one on one interviews with on-site staff and review of As-Built documentation. Post campus visits, the estimators were responsible for formulating costs for all items found to have a D or F grade. All systems/components of all buildings were evaluated inclusive of the grounds of each campus. The final reports of work recommended totaled over $850M in repairs, replacement or new facilities.
